Where we dreamed of working under the leadership of Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos, and other big picture thinkers.
THIS STORY STARTS IN TORONTO, ONTARIO
Spoiler alert: we became our own bosses instead.
Let us start off by saying that we didn't just jump into business, go viral and start earning quick Internet dollars. We earned our stripes while working toward our university degrees, landing internships and part-time jobs that would help us get our feet in the corporate world (AKA our ultimate goal in life).
...or so we thought.
Our search for a venture that fueled us came to an end when we were introduced to a startup looking for a small but mighty marketing team (fun fact: nothing describes us better).
It was the first time we'd ever combined our creative and digital skills on a project of this scale. And while it was intimidating, it ended up turning out better than we imagined. In just our first month, we saw before our own eyes how powerful our marketing strategies could be when we were in the right environment.
As graduation got closer and our peers were accepting offers from Fortune 500 companies, we were uninspired by the career options in front of us. As two natural out-of-the-box thinkers, we wanted to dedicate ourselves to a line of work where we could explore our creativity and cater to our analytical strengths at the same time.
Don’t get us wrong—we admired these organizations for their successes, but we didn’t want to start at the bottom of the totem pole playing someone else’s game. We wanted to make an impact on people’s lives, and we wanted to do it on our own terms.
Not to mention, the lifestyle associated with a traditional 9-5 wasn’t for us (and if you’re reading this, you've probably realized it isn't for you either).
And before we knew it, this little creative outlet became the catalyst for the most fulfilling adventure of our lives.

IN JUNE 2021, WE MADE A DECISION
TO START OUR OWN CREATIVE AGENCY AND
MAKE OUR DREAMS A REALITY.
One at a time, the most brilliant and inspiring clients showed up in our inboxes and gave us more reasons to reconfirm our love for marketing. It was pinch-me moment after pinch-me moment (and to be honest, they still haven't stopped).
The reason this is all possible? Because during trying times, we understood the power of having full faith in something. And Halo was that something that we believed in. Much like a guardian angel, it guided us towards the life we were meant to be living and gave us something to find our purpose in.
